Smith Creek's patented Tippet Holder™ clips on to your vest or pack and holds up to 5 tippet spools in style. Individually machined from marine grade billet aluminum, our Tippet Holder is bead blasted for a matte finish and anodized in two beautiful colors (burnt orange and metallic gray). To secure your tippet spools, simply unclip the push-button plunger cap, drop your spools in place and slide the floating washer down on top of them. The floating washer has an integrated silicon o-ring so it snugs down firmly but is easy to move. After loading, replace the spring loaded plunger cap, clip the provided zinc carabiner on your vest or pack and you're good to go!

How many tippet spools will the Smith Creek TIppet Holder accommodate?
The Smith Creek Tippet Holder™ can hold up to 5, standard sized tippet spools. If you have slack space on the bar (such as when carrying less than 5 tippet spools), simply slide the floating washer downwards with your fingers until it snugs your tippet spools against the base plate.
Will Tippet Holder™ Rust?
No. Smith Creek's Tippet Holder™ is machined from marine-grade aluminum and then fully anodized. The other components such as the plunger cap and lower assembly screw are all stainless steel.
How do I clean and maintain my Tippet Holder™?
After use you can simply wipe your Tippet Holder™ with a damp cloth. The floating washer has a silicone o-ring inside. If you get sand or grit in the o-ring channel, simple rinse it under running water to dislodge debris. It is not recommended to try removing the o-ring as you may damage it.
How long is the Tippet Holder warrantied for?
Like all Smith Creek fly fishing gear, Tippet Holder™ has a one (1) year warranty against defects in material and workmanship. If your Tippet Holder fails during this period, please refer to our Warranty Section for more information.
